Monthly Prayer Letter
July 2011
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We hope this letter finds you well and joyfully
serving our Lord. As always we want to thank all of you
that pray and support us each month. This is such a huge
blessing, especially in these days and times. We are so
thankful that we have the Lord to comfort us in time of need
and pray we can help others to know Him as well. It is good
to know there are so many holding the lifeline back home.
We write today with heavy hearts over our recent loss
of 8 soldiers in
Afghanistan, from here in Baumholder. So many people
hurting here, grieving over their lost one or worried and
depressed over the thought of losing their loved one.
Please continue to pray for our soldiers and their
families. Pray they will seek the Lord as they endure this
time of separation, and for the singles as well. Pray we
will have the right answers from the Word of God at the
right time. Pray for the souls of our servicemen and women,
that we may reach them with the Gospel!
We had the honor of hosting a second soldier on part
of his leave recently. He wrote later that this and the care
of our church toward him, enabled him to return refreshed
to continue the fight both physically and spiritually in
Afghan. This is especially encouraging since 4 of the
recent losses came from his battalion. We are thankful to
have had this opportunity to get to know him better and
encourage him in the Lord. We have also hosted other
Missionaries since our last letter.
Please pray for the Friday night Bible study and
fellowship. That we will be able to see more come out and
truly apply the Word of God. Pray that those who get saved
will become serious about His Word and the changes for the
good that God will make in their lives if they will let HIM.
Finances continue to be a struggle but God is
faithful and is able to do all that He has promised. Please
pray with us that we will have the faith of Abraham as it
says in Romans. 4 Not staggering, strong in faith and
always giving HIM the glory!
Ro. 4:20 “He staggered not at the promise of God through
unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”
Ro. 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what HE promised HE
was able also to perform.”
Please pray with us about health issues, my kidney
surgeries on Jul. 12 and 19, and probably at least one more
after that. Please also pray for the need of a more
economical vehicle, and one that will carry more people
also.
We praise the Lord for our new wood burning stove,
(just in time for Summer, haha). We are looking forward to
great savings in heating oil costs this Winter!
Please pray for the ministry, our church here and the
safety of our soldiers in harm’s way. Thank you again to
all those who care about us and our dedicated soldiers.
